UNILAG Student Shot Dead By Robbers In Lagos

A student of the university of Lagos (UNILAG) identified as Adekunle has been shot dead by Robbers in the Yaba area of Lagos.

Myschoolnews reports Adeyemi was shot dead while chasing a robber hanging at the back of a bus he boarded with his friend from Yaba to UNILAG who snatched the phone of his friend identified as opeyemi.

The robber is said to have snatched opeyemi's Iphone 7plus and bolted away which made Adeyemi chase him, when it was realized Adekunle was hot on the heels of the suspect, one of the hoodlums suspected to have been working with the suspect is said to have shot Adekunle in the head.

An eyewitness who pleaded anonymity revealed Adekunle lost his life on the spot.

He said "The incident happened on June 3 around 9pm. What happened was that someone the diseased at a close range on the left side of his head and he died on the spot. An ATM card found on him bears the name Adekunle .

"Later on, we gathered from a girl who gave her be as opeyemi, who claimed to be a Business Administration student of UNILAG said that she and the deceased whom she knew as a student of UNILAG boarded a bus from Yaba to UNILAG when she got dispossessed of her Iphone 7 plus by a thief hanging at the back of the bus.

"She said the deceased attempted to help by pursuing the robber, but in the process another group of persons came out and one of them shot him at a close range on the left side of his head and he died on the spot."

It was later gathered that Adewale's corpse was removed from the crime scene by police officers and deposited at the morgue of the mainland hospital.
