UNILORIN Set to Host Peace Day Lecture
UNILORIN Hosts Peace Day Lecture with Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Taoreed Lagbaja Lt. Gen. Taoreed Lagbaja will deliver the Distinguished Personality Lecture at the University of Ilorin to mark the 2024 International Peace Day.

As part of the 2024 International Peace Day celebrations, the University of Ilorin, in collaboration with the Martin Luther Agwai International Leadership and Peacekeeping Centre, Jaji, will host a Distinguished Personality Lecture on Tuesday, September 24, 2024. The lecture will be delivered by the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Taoreed Lagbaja, at the University Main Auditorium.
The event, proudly organized by the University of Ilorin’s Centre for Peace and Strategic Studies, is scheduled to begin at 10 am. This lecture aims to cultivate a culture of peace, addressing current peacekeeping efforts and leadership in the context of national security and international relations.
Students, staff, and the public are encouraged to attend and engage with the discussions on promoting peace and stability in Nigeria and beyond.
The event forms part of the global commemoration of International Peace Day, focusing on the need for unity, collaboration, and sustained efforts toward achieving lasting peace.
