UNIMED VC Commends Aiyedatiwa Over 60% Subvention Increase, Approval of 2026 FGN/Unions Agreements

The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Medical Sciences, UNIMED, Professor Ebunoluwa Adejuyigbe, has commended the Governor of Ondo State, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, for a significant 60% increase in state funding for the university and the approval of the 2026 Federal Government/University Unions agreements.

She highlighted that the boost in funding will enhance teaching facilities, support academic programs, and improve research capabilities, benefiting the training of medical and health personnel.

Adejuyigbe also noted that the implementation of the agreements would improve staff morale and commitment. She expressed gratitude for the Governor’s support and emphasized that these initiatives would strengthen UNIMED’s role in medical education and healthcare development in Ondo State.
