University of Maiduguri Launches Free Shuttle Service to Ease Transportation Challenges

The University of Maiduguri has announced the introduction of a free shuttle service to address transportation challenges on campus. This initiative, aimed at enhancing student mobility, follows the directive from the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Mohammed Laminu Mele.
On Tuesday, October 8, 2024, the University of Maiduguri Consultancy Services (UNIMAID Consult) deployed two buses to facilitate transportation for students traveling between the University Park and the complex area. This service is part of UNIMAID Consult's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) commitment to support students.
The shuttle service will operate during peak hours on weekdays, running from 6:30 AM to 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM, providing much-needed assistance to the student body.
Dr. Ahmad Jime, Coordinator of Academic Programmes, emphasized the importance of this initiative in enhancing the overall student experience at the university.
