LASUED College of Science Education Hosts Maiden Annual Ramadan Lecture
The College of Science Education at Lagos State University of Education (LASUED) held its first Annual Ramadan Lecture and Iftar on March 25, 2025, organized by the Nigeria Association of Science Students (NASS).

In a remarkable display of faith and unity, the College of Science Education at Lagos State University of Education (LASUED) hosted its maiden Annual Ramadan Lecture and Iftar on Tuesday, March 25, 2025. The event, organized by the Nigeria Association of Science Students (NASS), LASUED Chapter, took place at the renowned ETF Hall on the Oto/Ijanikin main campus.
The highlight of the occasion was a spiritually enriching lecture delivered by the Guest Lecturer, Sheikh Muhammad El Mustopha El Mubarak Ashile (B.Tech, GMNSE, Agric. Engr.), who spoke on the theme, Strengthening the Bond with Allah. His insightful discourse emphasized the importance of spiritual growth, unwavering devotion, and the need to maintain a strong connection with the Almighty, particularly during the sacred month of Ramadan.
Dignitaries who graced the event included the Dean of Students’ Affairs, Dr. Dawodu R.A., and the Students’ Affairs Officer, Mr. Mukaila Idowu Abiola, among other distinguished personalities. Their presence underscored the significance of fostering faith-based initiatives within the university community.
The gathering provided a platform for students and faculty members to reflect on their faith, engage in meaningful discussions, and partake in Iftar together, fostering a spirit of unity and devotion. The success of the maiden edition sets a promising precedent for future Ramadan lectures at LASUED, further strengthening religious and academic interactions within the institution.
