University of Maiduguri's New Vice-Chancellor Receives Congratulatory Visit From Director of Works, Physical Planning and Development Department

Professor Mohammed Laminu Mele, the newly appointed Vice-Chancellor of the University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID), received a congratulatory visit from Engr. Baba Shehu Ibrahim, Director of Works, Physical Planning and Development Department, alongside other departmental staff members today, Friday, October 4, 2024.

This visit comes on the heels of Professor Mele's appointment as the substantive Vice-Chancellor, a position he took effective immediately, bringing over two decades of dedicated service to the role. The appointment was recommended by the Joint Council and Senate .

The UNIMAID community has been pouring in with congratulations and well-wishes for Professor Mele, who is poised to lead the university towards greater heights.

As he settles into his new role, Professor Mele is expected to outline his vision and strategic plans for the university.
