The Vice-Chancellor of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Professor Ugochukwu Bond Stanley Anyaehie, has declared his administration’s readiness to strengthen collaborative engagement with community stakeholders to advance the institution’s development.

The Vice-Chancellor of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Professor Ugochukwu Bond Stanley Anyaehie, has declared his administration’s readiness to strengthen collaborative engagement with community stakeholders to advance the institution’s development.

He made this known on Thursday, November 27, 2025, during a courtesy visit by the Forum of Anambra State Village Chairmen, led by its Chairman, Mr. Osita K. Ozalagba. The delegation was at the University to formally congratulate the Vice-Chancellor on his recent appointment.

Mr. Ozalagba praised the transparent selection process that produced Prof. Anyaehie, describing him as a capable administrator well-suited to lead UNIZIK. He reaffirmed the Forum’s commitment to supporting the University, stressing its importance as a premier academic hub within their communities.

“Ours is Grace at Work, and we will be there for you always,” he said, offering the Forum’s full cooperation.

In his remarks, Prof. Anyaehie expressed appreciation for the goodwill visit, highlighting its significance given that it came without any immediate requests. He assured the delegation of his administration’s openness and commitment to stakeholder collaboration.

The Vice-Chancellor urged the community leaders to help identify credible partners who can contribute to infrastructural and academic development, particularly at the University’s Ifite Ogwari Campus, noting the need to “change the narrative” of that site.

The delegation included Mr. Chukwudi Onyejekwu, Hon. Emeka J. Ekwealor, Engr. Christian Anachuna, and other members of the Forum.
