Woman Achieves Top Honors as Best Graduating Student at Virginia State University with Perfect CGPA

Blaise Davenport has graduated from Virginia State University with a degree in Computer Science, achieving a perfect 4.00 grade point average. Expressing her gratitude, Blaise thanked her Trojan family for shaping her into the woman she is today. She also expressed her pride in the university.

Blaise Davenport has graduated from Virginia State University with a degree in Computer Science, achieving a perfect 4.00 grade point average. Her outstanding academic performance also earned her the title of best graduating student.

Blaise, who completed her bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems at Virginia State University, graduated as the valedictorian of her class. Sharing her excitement on LinkedIn, she said, “Today, I closed one chapter and opened another. With diploma in hand, I’m ready to take on the world and make my mark.”

During her time at the university, Blaise achieved numerous accolades. She graduated Summa Cum Laude with a perfect 4.00/4.00 GPA and was recognized as an honors student. Notably, she became the first female student from a Historically Black College and University (HBCU) to study at Oxford University, where she participated in a Visiting Student Program and excelled with a Grade A.

Blaise also secured full-ride acceptances to graduate programs at Carnegie Mellon University and Columbia University. She earned five technical certifications and completed over six internships. Additionally, she won over $20,000 in pitch competitions, was an Inaugural Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF) Meta Scholar Fellow, and participated in the 2019 Trojan Explosion (TX).

Her involvement in extracurricular activities was equally impressive. Blaise served as the National Cyber League Captain, Beta Gamma Sigma Chapter President, and was named Outstanding Senior of the Year in both 2022 and 2023.

Expressing her gratitude, Blaise thanked her Trojan family for shaping her into the woman she is today. She also expressed her pride in the university, stating, “I will forever be proud of this institution.” Blaise acknowledged that her success would not have been possible without the support of God, her family, friends, and mentors, and she thanked everyone who believed in her.
