Yaba College of Technology Suspends SUG President and Key Officials

The Student Union Senate Council of Yaba College of Technology has announced the immediate suspension of several key officials from the Student Union Government (SUG), effective October 12, 2024. The suspended positions include the Student Union Government President, General Secretary, Academic Vice President, and Senate Clerk (with a working suspension).

This decision aims to uphold the integrity and governance of the student body. Details regarding the reasons for the suspensions will be communicated to the student population in due course to ensure transparency in the process.

In light of these developments, a transitional leadership structure has been implemented. The Vice President of Administration and the Assistant General Secretary will take over the responsibilities of the suspended members. Additionally, the Senate President's role will be temporarily filled by the Senate Chief Whip until further notice.
