Yoruba Community Applauds MAU Vice-Chancellor Over Honorary Degree for Governor Aiyedatiwa

The Yoruba Community at Modibbo Adama University, Yola, has formally expressed deep appreciation to the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Ibrahim Umar, for conferring an Honorary Doctor of Management (Honoris Causa) degree on His Excellency the Executive Governor of Ondo State, Hon. Dr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa.

The commendation was delivered during a pre-convocation courtesy visit to the Vice Chancellor at the University Council Chamber. The delegation, comprising of Academic and Non-Academic members of the Yoruba community within the institution, described the honour as well-deserved and a reflection of the university's commitment to recognizing impactful leadership and national service.

Speaking on behalf of the group, the delegation leader, Prof. Remi Odekunle praised Prof. Umar's leadership style and inclusive approach to administration, noting that the Vice Chancellor has consistently demonstrated fairness and non-tribalism in managing the university's affairs, fostering unity and academic excellence across diverse groups in the institution.
