In a remarkable achievement, Saniya Lyles, a high school graduate from Middle College, Greensboro, has earned a 4.50 GPA, secured over $500,000 in scholarships from 17 prestigious US universities, and dedicated her success to her late mother.

Saniya Lyles, a teenager from North Carolina, tragically lost her mother just months before embarking on her final year of high school. In honor of her mother's memory, Saniya made a personal commitment to excel in her academics.

After her mother's passing, Saniya focused intensely on her studies, maintaining a remarkable 4.50 GPA while also completing her fifth college-credit course.

"I just use it as encouragement. Everything I did before, I told myself I must do 10 times more, to make her proud," Saniya remarked.

She was accepted into 17 colleges and awarded over $500,000 in scholarships, a testament to her dedication and hard work.

Expressing her excitement and a touch of nervousness as she prepares for college, Saniya expressed her wish that her mother could have been there to witness her achievements.

Though she had a plethora of schools to choose from, Saniya ultimately decided to attend Fayetteville State University, where she plans to pursue a career as a detective and military officer.

Saniya shared her aspirations, saying, "My goal in life is just to make an impact, even after I pass, I just want to leave the world better than when I came in."
