Zainab Imam Sani Distinguishes Herself as Top Graduate in Pharmaceutical Microbiology and Biotechnology at BUK

Following the 3rd induction ceremony for the 2023/2024 academic session at Bayero University, Kano (BUK) held on January 13, 2026, Zainab Imam Sani has been officially recognized as the best graduating student in the Department of Pharmaceutical Microbiology and Biotechnology.

Sani achieved this prestigious academic standing with an exceptional Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 4.73, marking her as one of the standout performers among the 51 newly inducted Doctors of Pharmacy.

Her specialization in Pharmaceutical Microbiology and Biotechnology is a critical field within the PharmD program, focusing on the development of antimicrobial agents and the application of biotechnology in drug production—areas highlighted during the ceremony as vital to the future of innovative medicine access.
