In a tale of resilience and academic excellence, 22-year-old Nigerian lady, Josephine Adah, has emerged victorious despite facing challenges, including the loss of her father at a young age. Josephine achieved the remarkable feat of graduating as a Civil Engineer with a first-class grade from the University of Nigeria, Enugu.

Narrating her journey, Josephine expressed gratitude to senior colleagues and classmates who assisted her with essential learning resources when financial constraints were a hurdle.
"I faced financial challenges where I could not afford some of my learning resources at school. However, I am grateful to senior colleagues and classmates that assisted me with books," she shared.
Josephine's determination and commitment did not go unnoticed, as she garnered several scholarship awards during her academic journey. One significant recognition was the National Merit Scholarship from NNPC/Total, which alleviated the financial burden she faced.

The NNPC/Total Merit Scholarship Award is a yearly program awarded to Nigerian undergraduates, offering support to deserving students. Josephine's resourcefulness extended to starting a small business, showcasing her resilience in the face of financial challenges.
A member of professional organizations, including the Association of Professional Women Engineers in Nigeria (APWEN), Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE), and the Association of Catholic Engineering Students (ACES), Josephine attributed her growth and success to these communities. They played a pivotal role in mentoring and guiding her through the challenges of tertiary education.
Looking ahead, Josephine expressed her eagerness to merge her knowledge of Civil Engineering with Artificial Intelligence. She emphasized her commitment to supporting youth development organizations, particularly in the areas of quality education, clean energy, and sustainable cities.
