A 24-year-old woman named Tiana William recently made headlines as she graduated with a doctorate degree from Rutgers University’s Law School, following in her father’s footsteps as a lawyer. 

Tiana first obtained her bachelor’s degree in Law at Temple University in Pennsylvania before pursuing further studies at Rutgers Law School in New Jersey, where she earned a Doctor of Law (Juris Doctor) degree.

In a statement shared on her LinkedIn profile, Tiana expressed her joy at her accomplishment and the inspiration she drew from her father. She said, ”Thrilled to share that I have graduated from Rutgers Law School and was incredibly blessed to be hooded by my father.”

The celebration continued as Rutgers University honored Tiana and her father, Chief Judge Dion J. Williams. Chief Judge Williams himself graduated from Rutgers College in 1988 and Rutgers Law School in 1992. The university commended the father-daughter duo for the special moment of Chief Judge Williams hooding his daughter, marking the fulfillment of Tiana’s lifelong dream and a proud moment for her father.
