46 UNIABUJA PG students complete Graduate Teaching Assistants ( GTA)

A total of 46 postgraduate students across all faculties of the University have been engaged for the Graduate Teaching Assistants( GTA) and the Graduate Research Assistants( GRA) programme of the UofA for the 2021/2022 academic session.

The assistantship programme is designed to engage exceptional postgraduate students by their various departments for teaching and research in the course of their study in the University.

The dean, School of Postgraduate Studies, Professor Ukherto Gabriel Moti, said the programme is aimed at supporting the students to advance their education through practice - based experiences, research, teaching, mentoring and development of their skills towards a career in academics.

Professor Moti added that the successful candidates for the GTA/GRA programme would get  stipends to meet some of their needs.

The students were engaged following the approval of budget for running the programme, advert placement for the positions and interview conducted by the various departments.
