American music icon, 50 Cent, has demonstrated his commitment to education and community growth by awarding a full scholarship worth $48,000 to a deserving student from Kashmere High School.

Curtis James Jackson III, professionally known as 50 Cent, is not only a prominent figure in the music industry but also a philanthropist who actively supports youth in sports and education.

Recently, 50 Cent relocated to Houston, Texas, and decided to contribute to the local community's development. He generously donated $300,000 to the Houston Independent School District, with the funds designated for the G-Star Program Business Lab aimed at underperforming schools.

The G-Star Program is designed to offer paid internships and various business opportunities to students in Houston, specifically benefiting Wheatley High School, Worthing High School, and Kashmere High School in Houston, United States.

One of the fortunate beneficiaries of this program, Kennedy Nelms from Kashmere High School, received a four-year scholarship to the University of Texas, Austin, valued at $48,000. 50 Cent proudly shared this achievement on Instagram, expressing his admiration for the students in the G-Star Program.

Kennedy is one of 75 students from three Houston ISD schools participating in the G-Star Program. During the 12-week program, they received a curriculum at a Master of Business Administration level, integrating lessons from 50 Cent's book "Hustle Harder, Hustle Smarter."

In an interview with Forward Times, 50 Cent explained the significance of these opportunities: "These opportunities are huge opportunities that I didn't have. Being able to provide that in the early stages, I think changes the direction and the choices that they will make. It prevents them from making some of the mistakes that I made."

Kennedy, the scholarship recipient, has ambitious plans for her future. She aims to launch a clothing line catering to those who do not conform to conventional fashion norms. Furthermore, she aspires to share the knowledge gained during her entrepreneurial journey with others.
