A Nigerian man has revealed how a parent once flogged a teacher mercilessly in his presence in retaliation for brutal punishment handed down to his child.

Myschoolnews gathered the said teacher had flogged the child up to eighteen strikes of cane which irked her father.

Sharing this on Twitter, a user Lola Okunrin posted:

"Secondary school days.

"A father followed his daughter to school to para for our teacher because he flogged his daughter terribly the previous day for late coming.

"The previous day, Mr Agunbiade actually flogged all latecomers like thief. He promised them six strokes each on their back but they must not touch their back until the six strokes are completed else he will start all over.

"When it was Ganiyat’s turn, she touched her back after 3 strokes, this wicked man started all over. After 2 strokes, she touched it again and he started all over. To be honest, he flogged that girl over 18 strokes that other teachers had to drag Ganiyat away. She was terribly flogged. Bruises everywhere, her uniform stained from rolling on the floor. Her voice cracked from “Mr Agunbiade Please, I will not come late again”. It was very messy.

"Now he’s here with her father. We were on assembly ground and the man was seated at the veranda boiling and waiting for our teachers so he can table his anger.

"That same day, Mr Agunbiade started flogging another set of late comers in the presence of Ganiyat’s father with same method he used the previous day. He was flogging a boy mercilessly when Daddy Ganiyat who has been boiling over the maltreatment jumped up from where he was, rushed towards Mr Agunbiade with blow, dragged the cane from him and started flogging him in our presence. It was a thing of joy to watch. We all jumped up shouting and celebrating. That day was messy.

"The entire school was rowdy. All the students were asked to go to their classes. The teachers were prancing about supporting Mr Agunbiade. Our head boy too was supporting our oppressors. Werey, because of gbajensinmi post they gave you.

"That day still linger in my memory. You will think Mr Agunbiade will change. His comeback was brutal. We dey chop beating steady. Ajeku iya loju pali.

I don’t like Maths teachers."

Many Nigerians thereafter took to the comment section to share similar experiences with ruthless teachers.
