NYSC Takes Free Medicare to Akwa Ibom Community

The NYSC Akwa-Ibom State Coordinator, Mrs Chinyere Ekwe recently flagged-off a one day health outreach programme titled; "Health Initiative for Rural Dwellers", in Afaha Ikot Ebak Community of Essien Udim Local Government Area of the State.

Myschoolnews reports the event which held at the Local Government Hall recorded a huge success as residents in large number visited the Corps Medical Personnel, who carried out free medical diagnosis including treatments on ailments as well as drug prescriptions and referrals where necessary.

The NYSC State Coordinator, Chinyere Ekwe, who was represented by the Assistant Director, Corps Welfare and Health Services, Pastor Chinedu Ndulue encouraged the residents to take advantage of the free medical services provided by the NYSC for their well-being.

In attendance at the free medical out reach were community heads, youths, women, children as well as the Personal Assistant to the Essien Udim Local Government Council Chairman, Mr Silas Imoh.
