ABU Endowment Foundation Launched to Secure University's Future
In a bid to secure the future of Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) and enhance its capacity for academic excellence, the university's Board of Trustees has officially launched the ABU Endowment Foundation.
This move comes as ABU celebrates its 60th anniversary, marking six decades of outstanding contributions to education and society at large.
The ABU Endowment Foundation's primary goal is to provide the institution with financial stability, enabling it to undertake critical projects, expand into emerging academic fields, conduct cutting-edge research, and adapt to the evolving needs of its student body.
To kickstart this ambitious initiative, the foundation has introduced the "Annual Alumni and Friends Giving" program. It is inviting ABU alumni, especially those who have graduated five years or more, to contribute a minimum of Twenty-Five Thousand Naira (N25,000.00). Graduates of less than five years are encouraged to donate as they see fit.
The Board of Trustees, led by Alhaji Mahmud Yayale Ahmed CFR, boasts several distinguished ABU alumni and friends who will oversee the prudent management of these funds. Notably, only the returns on these investments will be utilized to address the critical needs of the university, ensuring a sustainable approach.
Alumni and supporters wishing to contribute to this worthy cause can make their donations to the ABU Endowment Foundation's UBA account with the account number 1023243258. To facilitate the process, contributors are urged to send a copy of their payment receipt or acknowledgment to the Directorate of University Advancement at 08034515110 via mobile/WhatsApp or dua@abu.edu.ng.
This initiative represents a remarkable opportunity for ABU's global community to unite in securing the institution's future and ensuring it continues to shine as a beacon of knowledge and progress for generations to come.
