ABU Makes Fresh Appointments and Re-appointments

New appointments and reappointments

The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Kabiru Bala, has approved new appointments and re-appointments as follows:

Appointments 

1. Prof. Sule Mohammed, Dean, Faculty of Arts, with effect from 20th April, 2023 

2. Prof. Haruna Aminu, Director, Directorate of Interim Joint Matriculation Board (IJMB), with effect from 22nd February, 2023

3. Prof. Clement Sunday Bakinde, Deputy Dean, Faculty of Arts, with effect from 20th April, 2023 

4. Prof. Gbonjubola O. Adeshina, Head, Department of Pharmaceutical Microbiology, with effect from 30th May, 2023 

5. Dr. Mathew O. Afolayan, Head, Department of Mechanical Engineering, with effect from 9th May, 2023 

6. Prof. Shehu Ismail Chafe, Head, Department of Fine Art, with effect 28th April, 2023

7. Prof. Hassan Musa, Head, Department of Pharmaceutics and Industrial Pharmacy, with effect from 28th April, 2023 

8. Prof. Paul Habila Mamman, Head, Department Veterinary Microbiology, with effect from 9th May, 2023 

Re-appointments

9. Prof. Aliyu Mohammed Musa, Dean, Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, with effect from 4th May, 2023 

10. Prof. Magaji Mohammed Garba, Deputy Dean, Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, with effect from 4th May, 2023

11. Dr. Muhammad Abdulkarim, Head, Department of Computer Science, with effect from 10th March, 2023

12. Dr. Shehu Abbas, Head, Department of Geography and Environmental Management, with effect from 22nd May, 2023

Each of the appointments and re-appointments is for a period of two (2) years and is in recognition of the appointees administrative and academic leadership qualities. 

The Vice-Chancellor urged all of them to be fair and honest in the discharge of their assigned responsibilities.
