ABU Promotes 25 Academic Staff to Professors, 29 to Readers

A total of 54 academic staff of Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria have been promoted. Of the number, 25 were promoted to the rank of Professor, and 29 to the rank of Reader.

Announcing the promotion at the 526th (Regular) Meeting of Senate of Ahmadu Bello University held on Thursday, 31st August, 2023, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Kabiru Bala, said that their elevation was upon receipt of positive reports of external assessors.

The Vice-Chancellor congratulated the newly promoted staff and urged them to work towards the enhancement of the University standing in teaching, research and community service.
