Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, has witnessed a significant environmental initiative with the planting of over 2000 trees under the UNICEF Green Rising Project. The project aims to promote environmental sustainability and awareness among students.

The tree planting exercise was carried out on a five-hectare land provided by the university. University officials and students participated in the event, which was held in two batches.
