ABU Students Plant Over 2000 Trees Under UNICEF Green Rising Project

Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, has witnessed a significant environmental initiative with the planting of over 2000 trees under the UNICEF Green Rising Project. The project aims to promote environmental sustainability and awareness among students.

The tree planting exercise was carried out on a five-hectare land provided by the university. University officials and students participated in the event, which was held in two batches.

The project is part of the UNICEF Green Rising initiative, focusing on capacity building, tree planting, and waste recycling. Students expressed gratitude to UNICEF and the university for the project, highlighting its benefits for the environment and their personal growth.
