TAU Students Win ₦1.5 Million Grant at National Innovation Challenge

Thomas Adewumi University (TAU) students have emerged victorious in the AFRETEC-UNILAG 2025 Innovation-in-Health Grand Finale, winning a ₦1.5 million grant.

Team MedPatch, comprising Nursing and Computing students, developed a hydrogel-based wearable device powered by machine learning and Arduino to tackle diseases like malaria and diabetes.

The team's innovative solution impressed judges, earning 76% and securing second position among 102 teams from universities across Nigeria. This achievement showcases TAU's commitment to nurturing problem solvers and change agents.
