The African Forum Scotland Centre for Policy Research and Development has conferred a fellowship award on the Vice-Chancellor of Ahmadu Bello University, Prof. Kabiru Bala, for his contributions to knowledge, good governance, and outstanding performance. 

The award was conferred on the Vice-Chancellor when he visited the Centre for Policy Research and Development in Glasgow, the United Kingdom where he initiated investment project facilitated by the Centre.

Some of the investment opportunities discussed during the visit included the China-Nigeria-ABU agriculture project and investment in student hostels. 

In his remarks during the investiture of the Vice-Chancellor as Fellow of African Scotland Centre for Policy Research and Development, the Director of the Centre, Dr. Festus Ogunmola, extolled Prof. Bala’s virtues. 

Dr. Ogunmola explained that commitment, dedication, perseverance, and resilience guided the Vice-Chancellor’s nomination for the award.
