Achievers University Announces admission screening exercise and Tuition-Free Scholarships

Achievers University, Owo, Ondo State, has invited prospective students to participate in its supplementary admission screening exercise scheduled for Saturday October 5th, 2024, in multiple locations including Abuja, Lagos, Ibadan, Ado-Ekiti, and Owo.

Achievers University, Owo, Ondo State, has invited prospective students to participate in its supplementary admission screening exercise scheduled for Saturday October 5th 2024 in multiple locations including Abuja, Lagos, Ibadan, Ado-Ekiti, and Owo.

In a statement issued by the university's Registrar, Rev. Canon Bayode Oladimeji, the exercise is designed to accommodate candidates who were unable to participate in previous screenings or register through the university's online admission portal. "University representatives will be available at each screening center to promptly address inquiries from prospective students during the exercise," Oladimeji said.

In a significant development, the Registrar also announced that the university's Governing Council has approved 100% free tuition scholarships for select undergraduate programs in the upcoming 2024/2025 academic session. The decision aims to increase access to quality education amidst the economic challenges facing Nigerian parents.

The fully-funded programs include Guidance and Counselling, Library and Information Science, Chemistry Education, Biology Education, Sociology, Procurement Management, Economics, Banking and Finance, Civil and Environmental Engineering, Plant Science and Biotechnology, Remote Sensing and Geoscience Information Systems, and Health Information Management. Additionally, tuition-free scholarships ranging from 65% to 90% are available in 20 other academic programs.

Rev. Oladimeji emphasized that Achievers University, the first private university in Ondo and Ekiti States, continues to prioritize educational access and excellence. Established in December 2007, the university has successfully graduated 13 cohorts and operates 38 programs across six colleges and five faculties, including Medicine, Health Sciences, Law, Engineering, Social and Management Sciences, Natural and Applied Sciences, Nursing Science, and more.
