ACReSAL Launches Tree Planting Campaign at Yusuf Maitama Sule University Kano

The Agro-Climate Resilience in Semi-Arid Landscapes (ACReSAL) program, in partnership with Yusuf Maitama Sule University Kano (YUMSUK), has initiated a significant tree planting campaign on the university's main campus. The campaign, led by Professor Abubakar Salisu Garba, Deputy Vice Chancellor (Administration) standing in for Vice Chancellor Professor Mukhtar Atiku Kurawa, involved the planting of 2,000 trees.

ACReSAL's Project Coordinator, Dr. Dahir Muhammad Hashim, highlighted the importance of the initiative, noting the university's need for increased greenery. Dr. Hashim also announced plans to establish an orchard on campus and reaffirmed ACReSAL's commitment to future collaborations.
