Unizik offers a variety of nursing programs including Bachelor of Science (BSc), Postgraduate Diploma (PGD), Master of Science (MSc), and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degrees and each program has specific admission requirements:

- Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Nursing: Candidates must have at least credits in English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology, and Physics in their WAEC results, obtained in not more than two sittings. Additionally, applicants need to meet the required cut-off mark in the UTME, typically around 240. Higher UTME scores, particularly those above 260, significantly enhance admission prospects.

- Direct Entry: Direct entry students should possess a minimum GPA of 3.5 by the end of their second year in their current course of study. Transfer students are required to pay a fee ranging from #120,000 to #200,000.

- Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) in Nursing: Applicants must have a third-class degree in nursing from Unizik or a recognized university, or a minimum of lower credit in the Higher National Diploma (HND) from a recognized institution.

- Master’s Degree (MSc) in Nursing: Candidates should hold a first degree in a relevant discipline with a minimum FCGPA of 2.5 from Unizik or a recognized university. Those with a PGD and an FCGPA of at least 3.00 may also be eligible, provided they meet the university's matriculation requirements.

- Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Nursing: Applicants must have a master’s degree in nursing with an FCGPA of not less than 3.50 on a 5-point scale or an average of 60%, from Unizik or a recognized university, along with the university's matriculation requirements.

Admission Process:

Admission into the BSc program is primarily through the UTME, supplemented by the university’s screening process, which assesses candidates' UTME scores and WAEC grades. Notably, the traditional post-UTME screening test was discontinued in 2020.

For the 2024/2025 academic session, the tuition fee for new students is #100,000, with an additional acceptance fee of #67,000. Other costs include fees for GST courses, faculty and departmental clearance, and ID cards.
