Ahmadu Bello University Matriculates Fresh Students for 2024/2025 Academic Session

Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) has officially welcomed its newly admitted students for the 2024/2025 academic session. The matriculation ceremony took place on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at Mamman Kontagora Square, Main Campus, Samaru, Zaria.

Fresh students from all 18 faculties of the university were presented to the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Kabiru Bala, by their respective Deans. The Registrar, Malam Rabiu Samaila, administered the matriculation oath to the students.

In his address, Prof. Bala congratulated the students on their admission, describing them as "lucky" to have been accepted into the university. He emphasized the importance of respecting the university's rules and regulations, as well as the rights and privileges of staff and members of the university host community.

Prof. Bala also urged the students to shun social vices, such as the use of hard drugs, alcohol, and joining secret societies or cults. He reminded them of the university's established dress codes and encouraged them to be security conscious, reporting any suspicious activity immediately.

The Vice-Chancellor welcomed the students to the university and wished them success in their academic pursuits.
