Ahmadu Bello University SRC Celebrates Ranking as Best Public University in Nigeria

The Ahmadu Bello University Students' Representative Council (SRC) proudly announces that Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) has been ranked as the best public university in Nigeria by the prestigious Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings for 2025. This significant achievement places ABU in the global ranking of 1001-1200, underscoring its status as a leader in academic excellence and research.

The highlights from THE's World University Rankings, released on October 9, 2024, reveal ABU's impressive performance across five key pillars: teaching environment, research quality, industry, international outlook, and more.

As the first public university in Nigeria to attain this milestone, ABU serves as a model for other institutions. The SRC emphasizes that this recognition is a testament to the hard work and dedication of both students and faculty over the past six decades. 

In a celebratory statement, Umar Ishaq Katsinawa, Secretary General of the SRC, commended the university's commitment to high-quality education, innovative research, and exceptional student experiences.
