Ahman Pategi University Receives Permanent Licence from NUC
Ahman Pategi University has been granted a permanent licence by the NUC, solidifying its status as a fully operational private university in Nigeria.
Ahman Pategi University (APU) has reached a historic milestone, as the National Universities Commission (NUC) has granted the institution a permanent licence, officially recognizing it as a fully operational private university in Nigeria.
The NUC initially licensed APU on April 8, 2021, and this latest permanent licence follows a thorough resource verification exercise conducted in June 2024. The NUC’s statement highlights APU’s significant investments in infrastructure, faculty development, and research initiatives, establishing the university as a key player in Nigeria's private tertiary education sector.
Dr. Amina Ahman Pategi received the licence certificate at the NUC office in Abuja on October 30, 2024, on behalf of the late founder, Hon. Dr. Aliyu Bahago Ahman Pategi. Expressing gratitude, she stated, "This achievement validates our dedication to providing world-class education. We remain committed to nurturing talented individuals who will drive national development."
The permanent licence will allow APU to expand its academic programmes, strengthen industry partnerships, and enhance research collaborations, further cementing its reputation as a centre of academic excellence.
