IMAP Rector Dr. Maifata Inspects School Ahead of NBTE Accreditation
Dr. Nurudeen Mu'azu Maifata, Acting Rector of Isa Mustapha Agwai I Polytechnic Lafia, expresses satisfaction with the institution's preparedness for NBTE accreditation.
To ensure that more than thirty programs are ready for their seasonal re-accreditation, Dr. Nurudeen Mu'azu Maifata, the Acting Rector of Isa Mustapha Agwai I Polytechnic Lafia, conducted a comprehensive inspection of the institution. He expressed satisfaction with the Polytechnic's strong level of preparedness for hosting the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE), which regulates technical and vocational education in Nigeria.
Dr. Maifata reported that nearly all preparations are complete, commending the staff for their resourcefulness and team spirit in enhancing the Polytechnic’s standing. “The accreditation exercise by NBTE holds significant importance for our institution, and I am pleased to see that virtually every program is ready for this vital process,” he stated in an interview with Nasarawa Newsline following Thursday's mock exercise.
He remains optimistic that the commitment shown will lead to favorable consideration from the NBTE for quality assurance in the Polytechnic’s programs. Dr. Maifata is confident that the programs awaiting accreditation will meet all necessary requirements.
He emphasized the importance of maintaining a collaborative relationship with the staff to achieve the objectives of both ongoing and upcoming accreditation exercises, expressing gratitude for their unwavering support thus far.
The mock exercise was attended by key officials, including Mukhtar Wakeel, Director of Information, Public Relations and Protocol, Dr. Ibrahim Dauda, Director of Academic Planning, and the Director of Quality Assurance, among others.
