Governor Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom State has achieved a remarkable academic milestone, successfully defending his Doctoral Degree in Public Administration from the University of Uyo. In a heartfelt announcement via his official X account, the governor shared his thesis, titled “Government and Private Sector Development: A Study of Small and Medium Scale Enterprises in Akwa Ibom State.”
Governor Eno emphasized the relevance of his research to his vision for enhancing the state's small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). He underscored the significance of collaboration between government and private sector stakeholders to foster sustainable development in Akwa Ibom.
In an emotional dedication, Eno credited his late wife, Pastor (Mrs.) Patience Umo Eno, for inspiring him to pursue this academic goal. He expressed deep gratitude to the University of Uyo and the academic community for their unwavering support throughout his doctoral journey.
In his tweet, he stated, “I’m happy to share that I have successfully defended my Doctoral Degree in Public Administration in the Department of Political Science and Administration, University of Uyo! My thesis, titled ‘Government and Private Sector Development: A Study of Small and Medium Scale Enterprises in Akwa Ibom State,’ is a blueprint that aligns with my vision for strengthening SMEs in the state.”
