Aptech and Middlesex University Award N621 Million in Scholarships to Nigerian Students

The initiative, announced at Aptech's 16th "Career Quest," offers students 50% scholarships for programs in Software Engineering and Network Specialization.

Aptech, a global leader in education and IT training, has partnered with Middlesex University, London, to award scholarships worth N621 million to 76 Nigerian students. This initiative is part of their "Affordable International Degree Scheme," designed to reduce financial barriers for students pursuing higher education.

Unveiled at Aptech's 16th "Career Quest," this year's program offered 50% scholarships to students, enabling them to pursue degrees in fields such as Software Engineering and Network Specialization. The event, which surpassed expectations, featured on-ground seminars in Lagos, Abuja, Calabar, and Abeokuta, along with virtual webinars, attracting over 510 participants.

The collaboration between Aptech and Middlesex allows students to earn advanced diplomas and complete their final year at Middlesex University, London or Dubai, obtaining a BSc degree.

Kallol Mukherjee, executive vice president of International Business at Aptech, expressed excitement about the program’s impact, while Oluchi Nwambara, a Middlesex University representative, emphasized the importance of supporting Nigerian students in achieving academic excellence.

With ICT contributing 16.66% to Nigeria’s GDP in Q4 2023, the partnership aims to equip students with essential skills to thrive in the tech-driven economy. This year’s scholarships build on last year’s N362.7 million awards, further demonstrating Aptech’s commitment to empowering Nigerian youth through education and IT expertise.
