Assistant Director of Information and Public Relations Sensitizes NYSC Corps Members on Their Roles
The Assistant Director of Information and Public Relations for NYSC Enugu State, Mr. Vincent Nwaoha, recently addressed Batch B Stream 2 corps members, emphasizing their crucial roles within the Information and Public Relations Unit.
The Assistant Director of Information and Public Relations for NYSC Enugu State, Mr. Vincent Nwaoha, recently addressed Batch B Stream 2 corps members, emphasizing their crucial roles within the Information and Public Relations Unit. During his lecture, Nwaoha highlighted how corps members can leverage their skills to impact knowledge and contribute to national development.
He detailed the primary audience of the NYSC, including corps members, parents, educational institutions, collaborative agencies, and employers. Nwaoha outlined the unit's responsibilities, such as information dissemination, publishing the NYSC orientation/service guide and the quarterly “Coal Kopa” magazine, supervising the Orientation Broadcasting Service (OBS), and managing the distribution of identity cards.
The Assistant Director also provided guidance on replacing missing ID cards, instructing corps members to report to the police, obtain a court affidavit, and submit an official application for replacement to the State Coordinator through local and zonal inspectors.
In closing, Nwaoha stressed the importance of corps members representing the NYSC positively at their Places of Primary Assignment (PPA), reinforcing their role as ambassadors of the scheme.
