NYSC Announces Orientation Course Schedule for 2024 Batch C Stream I
The swearing-in ceremony is scheduled for Friday, 29th November 2024, while the orientation course will conclude on Tuesday, 17th December 2024.
The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has released the schedule for the 2024 Batch C Stream I Orientation Course, set to take place in all NYSC orientation camps nationwide.
According to the NYSC, registration will commence on Wednesday, 27th November 2024, and close at midnight on Friday, 29th November 2024. The swearing-in ceremony is scheduled for Friday, 29th November 2024, while the orientation course will conclude on Tuesday, 17th December 2024.
Prospective Corps Members (PCMs) are advised to proceed to the camps specified on their call-up letters, with foreign-trained graduates required to report with their international passports and original documents uploaded during registration. Graduates of monotechnics and polytechnics must present their National Diploma certificates for registration.
The NYSC warned against the presentation of fake documents, stressing that defaulters will be prosecuted. PCMs who lose their call-up letters are instructed to obtain a police report, swear an affidavit, and follow procedures for reprinting or replacement based on their mode of issuance.
In a bid to ensure safety, the NYSC urged PCMs to patronize government-approved transport services and avoid night journeys. It advised travelers to seek refuge in police or military facilities, NYSC Secretariats, or Corps Lodges if traveling after 6:00 PM.
Special provisions have been made for married, pregnant, and nursing mothers to register in camps located in their states of residence, provided they present evidence of marriage, their husbands' identification, and proof of domicile.
PCMs are also required to provide certificates of fitness from government or military hospitals affixed with Nigeria Medical Association (NMA) stamps.
The NYSC Director-General, Brigadier General Y.D. Ahmed, wished all prospective Corps Members a safe journey to their orientation camps and a successful service year.
For a complete list of camp addresses across the 36 states and the FCT, PCMs are encouraged to refer to the NYSC's official release.
