The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), Gombe State University branch, has issued a two-week ultimatum to the state government and the university’s management to address its demands. The ultimatum comes amidst concerns over the economic situation in the state impacting the welfare of university staff.
In a resolution signed by branch chairman Dr. Suleiman Jauro and Dr. M. Muhammad, the branch emphasized the failure of the university administration to address the welfare issues of its members, including the non-payment of accumulated Earned Academic Allowance and arrears of promotions.
