ATAPOLY Bauchi Launches ND Upgrade and Result Improvement Schemes for 2025/2026 Session
The Abubakar Tatari Ali Polytechnic (ATAPOLY), Bauchi, through its Directorate of Preliminary Studies and Knowledge Alternatives, has announced two major academic interventions aimed at enhancing the qualifications of diploma holders.
The new programmes offer a lifeline to graduates seeking to transition from an Ordinary Diploma (OND) to a National Diploma (ND), as well as those looking to improve "Pass" grades on their existing results.
1. OND to National Diploma (ND) Upgrade
Holders of an Ordinary Diploma from any government-approved institution can now upgrade their certification to a National Diploma.
Duration: Two semesters (one academic year).
Eligibility: Candidates must have graduated from accredited courses in recognized institutions.
2. Result Improvement Scheme (The "Pass" to "Credit" Bridge)
In a move to boost the employability of its alumni, the Polytechnic has introduced a scheme for candidates who graduated with a Pass grade.
Objective: To allow students to upgrade their final classification to Lower Credit, Upper Credit, or Distinction based on their performance over two semesters.
Academic Cycle: One full academic year of intensive study.
Application Details and Deadlines
Form Sales: February 16, 2026 – March 30, 2026.
Cost: ₦3,000 per application form.
Venue: Directorate of Preliminary Studies and Knowledge Alternatives, ATAPOLY Campus.
Commencement: Lectures are scheduled to begin immediately following the start of form sales.
According to the Director of Information, Comr. Musa Alfa, this initiative is designed to "increase the value of certificates" and provide graduates with better competitive advantages in the labour market.
