Nnaji Treasure Chidiogo, a newly inducted medical doctor from Babcock University, has made headlines by breaking two significant academic records within the College of Health and Medical Sciences. Achieving an impressive nine distinctions, Nnaji has also become the first medical doctor to receive a distinction in Community Health.
Her remarkable accomplishments were celebrated during the 9th induction ceremony, where 93 new medical doctors were welcomed by the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria. In recognition of her exceptional performance, Nnaji was awarded a cash gift of N200,000 and a plaque by the Ogun State branch of the Nigeria Medical Association.
Babcock University Vice Chancellor, Prof. Ademola Tayo, praised the new doctors during the ceremony, encouraging them to prioritize patient care above financial interests. He underscored the necessity of collaboration among healthcare professionals to effectively combat persistent diseases such as Lassa Fever.
Additionally, Prof. John Sotunsa, the Provost of the Benjamin Carson College of Health and Medical Sciences, highlighted that over 20 medical doctors graduated with distinctions, with Nnaji achieving the highest marks. He urged the newly inducted doctors to enhance their communication skills with patients and emphasized the critical relationship between combating corruption and improving health outcomes in Nigeria.
