Bayero University Gets New Pro-Chancellor

President Bola Tinubu has appointed Air Vice Marshal Saddiq Ismaila Kaita (Rtd.) as the new Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council of Bayero University, Kano.

Kaita succeeded Dr. Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna, who will now focus on his role as Chairman of the Federal Housing Authority (FHA).

A retired Nigerian Air Force officer, AVM Kaita brings a wealth of experience to his new role. He previously served as Director of Strategy at the Defence Headquarters and Chief of Defence Transformation and Innovation. Kaita is recognized for his significant contributions to Air Force training and standardization.

The appointment of AVM Kaita is expected to bring new leadership dynamics to Bayero University, Kano, as he works towards advancing the institution's academic and administrative excellence.
