Bayero University Kano Explains Cause of Power Outage On Campus
Bayero University communicated students on the reason(s) for Power Outage in the University.
Power Outage in the University Caused by Strike Action Embarked Upon by the National Union of Electricity Employees.
This is to inform members of the University Community residing on various campuses that the recent power outage experienced is as a result of an indefinite strike action embarked upon by the National Union of Electricity Employees (NUEE), which led to the shutting down of the headquarters of Kano Electricity Distribution Company (KEDCO).
This power outage affects Staff Quarters, Academic areas and Students' Hostels.
The University Management appeals to the occupants affected by the power outage to be patient and bear with the situation. As soon as the strike issue is resolved, the power distribution will continue as usual.

Meanwhile, power supply load shedding to Academic areas utilizing university generators will continue as usual, while student hostels will get power from 7pm to 11pm daily.
The Management regrets any inconveniences this might have caused.
