Nile University of Nigeria has honored its top five best-graduating students with full postgraduate scholarships during its 12th convocation ceremony in Abuja. The Vice-Chancellor of the university, Prof. Dilli Dogo, announced the prestigious awards, highlighting the institution's unwavering commitment to academic excellence and its efforts in preparing students for success in a globalized world.

Among the distinguished awardees were three exceptional students who achieved perfect scores. David Arungbemi, who graduated in Computer Engineering, Chinomso Akuma, from Electrical and Electronics Engineering, and Hassan Kabaju, from Petroleum and Gas Engineering, all graduated with a flawless 5.0 CGPA. Joining them were Vahyalajah Kwaji and Attahiru Yakubu, both from Petroleum and Gas Engineering and Electrical and Electronics Engineering, respectively. Kwaji secured the first runner-up position with a CGPA of 4.99, while Yakubu earned the second runner-up spot with a 4.98 CGPA.

Prof. Dogo expressed that these scholarships serve as a testament to the university’s dedication to recognizing and nurturing outstanding academic achievements. The convocation ceremony was graced by prominent dignitaries, including the Governor of Borno State, Prof. Babagana Zulum, and former Kano State Governor, Sen. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, who both commended the university’s efforts in providing quality education and empowering future leaders.

This recognition of the top graduates is in line with Nile University’s mission to encourage students to strive for excellence, while also preparing them to contribute meaningfully to the advancement of society on a global scale.
