The Lagos State University Students' Union (LASUSU) has confirmed the discovery and exhumation of the body of Ogunbode Adedamola, a recent Political Science Education graduate, on March 12, 2025, near Cele Church.

The Lagos State University Students' Union (LASUSU) has confirmed the tragic discovery of the remains of Ogunbode Adedamola, popularly known as Holars, a recent graduate from the Department of Political Science Education. His body was found and exhumed on March 12, 2025, approximately 108 meters away from Cele Church, bringing an end to the search for the missing student.

In an official statement, LASUSU expressed deep sorrow over Adedamola’s demise and assured the public that efforts are being made to secure justice for the late student. The statement extended heartfelt appreciation to the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, the Deputy Commissioner of Police, the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Ojo Police Station, the Dean of Student Affairs, the School Security Unit, and officers of the Special Crimes Investigation Division (SCID) in Panti, Yaba, for their commitment and support in resolving the case.

Furthermore, LASUSU commended the courageous students who stood in solidarity during the search for the truth surrounding Holars' disappearance. The union emphasized that all individuals responsible for his untimely death would be brought to justice and assured that no effort would be spared in ensuring accountability.

"We urge everyone to remain engaged as we navigate the process of seeking justice. Our condolences are with Holars' family in this trying time, and we pray that God grants them the fortitude to bear this great loss," the statement read.

LASUSU vowed to remain steadfast in its pursuit of justice and reiterated that Holars’ memory will forever be honored within the university community.
