Bowen University Established to Promote Godliness and Innovative Education, Says Nigerian Baptist Convention President

Rev. Dr Israel Akanji, the President of the Nigerian Baptist Convention (NBC) and Visitor to Bowen University in Iwo, has emphasized that the primary aim of establishing Bowen University is to foster godliness, excellence, innovation, and leadership education within the Nigerian university system. He made this statement at the 18th convocation of Bowen University, where he praised the institution for producing productive graduates in various fields who possess godly virtues and innovative capabilities.
Rev. Akanji further urged the 2023 graduating students to become "life givers" and "hope lifters" who bring positive change to society, particularly in challenging situations.

Deaconess Joan O.Ayo (OON), the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council of the university, congratulated the graduating students on their successful completion of academic programs and assured them that Bowen University had equipped them mentally, emotionally, academically, and spiritually to face the world.
Professor Jonathan Babalola, the Vice Chancellor, attributed the university's success to the leadership of the convention and the governing council, recognizing their contributions and moral support for the institution's growth and development since its inception. He emphasized the commitment of Bowen University to nurturing students who are not only deeply rooted in faith but also prepared to excel in various aspects of life.
