Zainab's academic journey took an unexpected turn when her initial aspiration to study Medicine was constrained by her Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) scores. Despite scoring exceptionally well, she fell just short of the required score for Medicine, a disappointment that could have deterred many. However, Zainab's determination led her to explore alternative academic paths.

Her mentor advised her to accept the course offered by the university, which was Adult Education, but Zainab's unwavering determination led her to push for a change. She expressed her lack of interest in the course and her preference for a science-related field, leading to the option of courses like Mathematics, Physics, or Statistics.
