BUK Student Affairs Directorate Enforces Strict 'Students Only' Policy for SUG Elections

The Deanery of Students Affairs at Bayero University, Kano (BUK), has issued a stern directive clarifying the eligibility requirements for participation in the forthcoming Students' Union Government (SUG) elections.

The official memo emphasizes that the electoral process is exclusively for currently registered BUK students, strictly prohibiting any external interference.

The statement, signed by the Dean, Professor Mukhtar Ridwanu Bunza, affirms the Deanery's "uncompromising" commitment to supervising a free and fair election process.

"The Deanery will not condone any external influence from the former excos, former students (the comrades) or any individual that is not currently a student of Bayero University, Kano," the statement read.

Intending candidates have been strongly advised to solicit support only from bonafide BUK students. The university administration warned that any involvement of external forces or influence will lead to severe consequences, potentially resulting in the disqualification of the candidate involved.
