Caleb University has taken a significant step toward expanding its international academic footprint following a high-level strategic engagement with the United States Consulate General Lagos, focusing on research collaboration, academic exchange, and global partnership development.

The engagement, led by the Vice-Chancellor, Olalekan Asikhia, is part of the institution’s broader drive to position itself within the global knowledge ecosystem and deepen its international visibility.

According to the Vice-Chancellor, the visit represents a deliberate and strategic move to strengthen Caleb University’s global partnerships, expand research opportunities, and enhance academic mobility for both staff and students.

The discussions involved senior representatives from both institutions and centred on revitalising existing collaborations while exploring new areas of academic cooperation across borders.

A key focus of the engagement was the strengthening of transatlantic academic partnerships, particularly the renewal of collaborations with the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and ongoing academic ties with Pennsylvania State University.
