Carlos Hilado Memorial State University (CHMSU) is basking in the glory of its remarkable achievement, as it proudly announces a passing rate of 42.11% in the October 2023 Fisheries Technologist Licensure Examination (FTLE), surpassing the national average of 33.71%. This impressive feat was revealed on November 6.

Out of 45 first-time candidates, an impressive 20 students from CHMSU successfully passed the FTLE. Additionally, 4 out of 12 repeat candidates also earned their licensure. As a result of this outstanding performance, CHMSU has been recognized as the 19th top-performing school in the nation during the FTLE.

These stellar results are in full compliance with the requirements set forth in RA 8981, commonly known as the PRC Modernization Act of 2000. This legislation, specifically outlined in Section 7 (m), mandates rigorous oversight of school performance in licensure examinations and the subsequent publication of results in widely circulated national newspapers.
