The Provost passed a vote of confidence in the ability of the new Physicians and Dental Surgeons to triumph over the myriad of challenges plaguing medical practice in Nigeria. He implored them to be open-minded; explore new frontiers of knowledge and gear up for interdisciplinary collaborations as they proceed into the field of practice.

Prof. Oke applauded parents, guardians and sponsors of the graduating students for their commitment towards the success of the child(ren) and wards.

While sharing concerns over the continued dwindling funds for education and the health sectors in Nigeria, Prof Oke noted that the development accounts for the continued infrastructural decay and brain drain. He acknowledged and appreciated efforts and inputs from successive alumni sets, well-meaning individuals, corporate bodies and philanthropists towards developing infrastructures in the College and re-echoed the need for more of such support and investments so as to sustain the premium quality training which the college has to offer.
