Cosmopolitan University of Abuja Forges International Partnerships to Foster Digital Skills and Entrepreneurship

The Cosmopolitan University of Abuja has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with four international organisations to nurture digital skills and entrepreneurial spirit among its students. The MoU was signed yesterday in Abuja by the university’s vice chancellor, Prof Carl Adams.

The four organisations partnering with the university are Cisco, a multinational technology company; Global Wissen Consult, which specialises in Digital Entrepreneurship programmes; Confucius Institute for Mandarin, offering students the opportunity to learn Mandarin and foster cross-cultural understanding; and Across Atlantic Development (AAD), a company committed to embarking on global projects and providing solutions to business challenges.
Prof Adams stated that these partnerships aim to prioritise experiential learning, preparing students with the skills and mindset required to navigate an ever-evolving landscape. “By collaborating with industry partners, we ensure our graduates are not just academically proficient but are also ready to make immediate contributions in their chosen fields,” he said.

The Cosmopolitan University of Abuja is one of the 37 newly approved private universities by former President Muhammadu Buhari in May 2023. The vice chancellor emphasised the university’s commitment to strategy and collaboration, viewing education as a catalyst for personal and societal transformation.
