Czech Republic Donates Block of Classrooms to FOMWAN School in Abuja

The Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Nigeria, Ambassador Zdenek Krejci, inaugurated a block of five classrooms at the secondary school section of the Federation of Muslim Women’s Associations in Nigeria (FOMWAN) schools in Wuse 2, Abuja. The construction of the classrooms was funded by the Czech Republic embassy.

Ambassador Krejci emphasized the importance of education, stating that despite being a middle-income country without abundant mineral deposits, the Czech Republic values education. The embassy pledged continuous support for projects promoting education in Nigeria.

He commended FOMWAN for the judicious use of funds and expressed readiness to support projects that sustain educational growth in Nigeria.

Deputy Head of Mission, Hana Trousilova, highlighted the building as part of the Czech Republic's development projects in Abuja and Nigeria. She emphasized that her country supports projects with lasting impacts, irrespective of religious beliefs.

The Amirah (Head) of FOMWAN, FCT chapter, Hajiya Fatimah Isah Ndako, expressed gratitude for the gesture and appealed for further assistance in completing ongoing projects, including a skill acquisition center for women and youths.

The event was attended by embassy officials, FOMWAN representatives, and other dignitaries.
